The Meeting between Elimisha Kakuma Students and the Admission Team from Ashesi University in Ghana
It was an hour-long session that left an indelible impact on everyone. Araba and Nana graced the meeting with their presence, accompanied by Mike, and they were incredibly engaging and generous with their information. The team was warmly welcomed, and Kiza was the emcee while Nyanut and Luka spoke about the Elimisha Kakuma Program.
Araba's presentation was particularly informative as she shared a lot of details about Ashesi University. She dug into the admission process and financial aid, and her insights were enlightening. We learned that the University is making a tremendous impact not only in Ghana but globally, with students from various countries, including South Sudan. It was fascinating to hear that Ashesi University is also connected to various United States Colleges and universities for program exchange, including Macalester College. The University provides significant financial aid that suits students' needs according to the institution's structure and requirements.
Our students were highly engaged, asking interesting questions, and Araba did a phenomenal job answering each of them satisfactorily. It was evident that the session was meaningful, not only to us but also to our small brothers, sisters, and friends in the community. We appreciate the Elimisha team's hard work, particularly with Deirdre, in organizing such a productive meeting.
In conclusion, the meeting was a resounding success, and we look forward to more such opportunities to explore education and career prospects further. The presentation by Araba and the engagement with our students were insightful, and we are proud to be part of the Elimisha Kakuma program.
